Whether you're putting up a few strings of Christmas lights or channeling Clark Griswold, please use outdoor decorations safely. Inspect them for wear, follow the manufacturer's safety info, be sure your outdoor outlets have GFCIs installed, & use outdoor-rated extension cords.

Join @LynnFireDept, @NFSAorg, and DFS on Friday, 12/19, as we demonstrate the power of #HomeFireSprinklers with a Christmas tree burn! A dry Christmas tree can burn like a forest fire in your home, but fire sprinklers protect people, pets, and property -- see them in action!

#TBT: A friend recently sent in this pic of the Mass Fire Academy's original maze trailer from 1985-ish. It was repurposed by MFA staff to help build confidence in navigating dark, confined spaces. A newer model regularly hits the road to support local training in these skills.
