Netflix has tricked a lot of people into thinking they would get real theatrical releases, but this merger would also force them to reckon with people who work with WB specifically to guarantee a theatrical run…including Tom Cruise. So that should be interesting.
@jonathanmb32 Ted is very well liked in the industry if he attempts to Lock Warner Brothers films out of theaters he’ll risk a mass exodus of talent . If he’s lobbied enough, he will give on the theater angle.

Netflix will now own the Warner Bros. studio and library. A $5B breakup fee shows Netflix's full confidence in approval. After a transaction of this scale, no expanded Netflix-Africa strategy should be expected. Canal+ / MultiChoice controls the continent’s main screen ecosystem.

‘ZOOTOPIA 2’ originally had a 4-minute long scene that was a homage of Clarice and Hannibal’s first meeting in ‘SILENCE OF THE LAMBS’ “We did word by word the first scene when Hannibal Lecter meets Clarice… That’s where we go, now we have lost our younger audience members”
