You asked (and asked!), we deliver: @mkhammer on being a "weirdo" since childhood, finding calm amid personal tragedy and in the political circus, Erika Kirk, Trump-Mamdani bromance, and why conservatives are better at compartmentalizing outrage. Tune in! https://t.co/HgHk4wbpW6

I interviewed L.A. Mayor Karen Bass about fires, ICE, Trump/Mamdani, LAUSD’s empty buildings, Angela Davis/Cuba, and fundamental disagreements on land-use regulation.

As I recently wrote/podcast about in "The Sociopaths Among Us #2: Candace Owens"
Candace Owens is an obvious fraud (or mentally ill, or both) and people who take her seriously should be embarrassed to admit that they do.

@SaysCL There's more to say/write but it feels too personal, like you are exposing your parent's business. "Don't write about me," she used to say. Too late. https://t.co/AjJdBf55r0

"She's not doing it for herself, she's doing it for you," @SaysCL said last night. "You are showing your daughter how you care for people, it's everything." But you never feel like you are doing enough, that you are spending enough time, or doing it right.

You sit with your wonderful child, who adores her Nana, a formerly uber independent person who now cannot do anything for herself but occasionally smile, and wonder how she is still with us, she was not expected to make it through the holidays 2024...

There are heroes - incl. indefatigable caregivers and the social worker who all but acts as your therapist - and others who appear to have zero interest in whether your parent gets care, who hold onto remaining funds while you drain your investments to cover monthly 5-figure care

There are caregivers who rip you off, relatives with cockamamie (and sometimes self-interested) ideas, health scares that require you feed your formerly astoundingly energetic mother water from an eyedropper. You count breaths, you watch her drop to 90 pounds...

Dad was easy. Other than a knee the size of a basketball (a b-ball injury), no medical issues, never complained, dipped quietly. Mom, OTOH, has been a 5-year odyssey, one we are still in. As my accountant put it, "You turn over all their money to the medical industrial complex."

"Caring for an aging loved one is a journey — and not a low-key pleasure trip with a clear itinerary you can plan and pack for." Oh man do I know this journey.

Imagine supporting a podcast eager to let you know where they stand on the “JQ.” Yeah don’t.
"You and I actually agree on the JQ." - Anna Khachiyan to Nick Fuentes Anyone complaining that the Red Scare freakout is cancel culture just didn't listen to the episode—they're discussing the "JQ." That's the Jewish question.
