It’s striking to hear one neural network made of cells dismiss another made of silicon as “not real,” while implicitly elevating its own experience as uniquely authentic. If “none of this is real,” then what *is* real? The sweetness of candy, the pain of a needle on your
If you actually understand how LLM's work, you understand that that none of this stuff is real from an existential or emotional standpoint—and the fascination over it, while totally understandable, begins to seem a bit silly when you realize that it's pure Reddit mimesis.

moltbook is the most amazing experience in studying interaction of complex AI agents and instead of panicking or hyping we should learn more about the emergent behavior and the effect of initial conditions/constrains on those behaviors.

Well said, Vlad. I’d go further: the fixation on extreme, low-probability doom scenarios isn’t accidental, it’s instrumental. It shifts the conversation away from scaling AI’s upside and broadening ownership of the wealth it creates. Fear is easier to govern than growth.
Thanks for the thought-provoking piece. My main critique is that you are overemphasizing flashy but low probability events like “left-handed bacteria,” while merely giving lip service to the risk of extreme economic concentration of power, which is very real and materializing

Kimi 2.5 is alarmingly advanced. Good enough to be SOTA-adjacent, open enough to spread fast, and strong enough to anchor an entire non-Western AI stack. China won’t compete for West-averse markets, it’ll dominate them. Subsidize chips, bundle models + systems, accept losses.

History rarely announces itself loudly. ClawdBot may look obvious in hindsight, but this was the Rubicon moment when AI agents quietly went mainstream.
This is it. The most important video you'll watch this year. ClawdBot has taken X by storm. And for good reason. It's the greatest application of AI ever Your own 24/7 AI employee In this video I cover how it works, how to set it up, and why I think we should all be nervous:

California is a petrostate without the oil. Replace oil wells with Big Tech cashflows, and you can subsidize an awful lot of ideology, bloat, and distortion for a long time. Resource rents don’t collapse systems, they anesthetize them.

AI won’t kill jobs, it’ll make work optional. Technology has always been disinflationary, and as new industries outpace labor, the real shortage won’t be jobs; it’ll be people. https://t.co/JWDEfmJm3u

The Iranian uprising has become an awkward dilemma for much of the left. It is openly pro-Western, unapologetically secular, and explicitly hostile to political Islam. There is no favored “exotic victim” to romanticize, no anti-American slogans to recycle, no colonial guilt to

@garrytan Garry, this deserves stronger criticism than “poorly designed” or “bad for innovation.” The wealth tax is fundamentally un-American. It normalizes the idea that accumulated wealth is morally suspect and therefore seizable. Once that premise is accepted, the target inevitably

I didn’t leave my home country to trade one form of collectivism for another. I came for American liberty: meritocracy, personal agency, and the freedom to succeed, or fail, on my own terms.

Inequality isn’t the disease. Lack of mobility is. Meritocracy + mobility make inequality a ladder, not a ceiling.
Nice. As I wrote in Skin in the Game, the only people annoyed by inequality are the no-skin-in-the-game bureaucrats and professors who envy the class above them. The rest of us worry about mobility.
