As many know, April is Autism Awareness month. My entire family cherishes our Halie Dru. She wakes up happy everyday, is a great friend to many and loves everyone unconditionally. What a blessing she is to all of us. 💙. She’s a great reminder to be kind to all.

I am making progress. Yesterday I went to the gym here in S Fla and had an ok workout. Upon leaving, saw a Krispy Kream with the “Hot Now” sign on. Bought 12/ ate 6 on way back to house. Today, workout and I drove right by KK and didn’t stop!! Baby steps.

Got a call at 4:30 am. A deranged criminal locked our employee out of our store and trashed it. Thanks to Greensville County Sheriffs Department and Emporia Police Department for their response. They apprehended the suspect. He was wanted in other states also. Nobody hurt!

As the parent of a special needs child with autism there’s no word that’s more offensive to me than that, however I accept your apology. I understand the emotions. I hope we can use this as an opportunity to educate others on why this word hurts some more than others.

We had put off Halie getting her wisdom teeth out for years because we were concerned about the unknowns with her with sedation, medication etc. Well today my buddy Dr Bill Adams and his staff did it ! Without putting her to sleep. And I got to hold her hand the whole time ❤️
