Why does the SEISS grant 5 only cover 3 months, while the equivalent furlough covers 5 months? 🤷‍♀️

Imagine being excluded from any previous support because it was only from March 2019 that more than 50% of my earnings came from self-employment yet now they have included all of my previous SE returns and so reduces my grant allowance by more than double #SEISS4

@Stetterz @Selfemployed70 @Rachmorg22 @HelpNewly @ExcludedUK @RishiSunak @MartinSLewis @HMRCgovuk Same excluded by 2018/19 eligible 2019/20 But divided by two years so basically 80% of half of what I earn in a month and after a year of £0 that sucks

@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow We are the new starters! Apparently meant to be 600,000 newly included yet they aren't just looking at our 19/20 full year of self employment they are including the few months we set up in 18/19 to lower the grant? #SEISS #SEISS4 SO deceitful, @RishiSunak is a bare faced liar.

@HelpNewly @ExcludedUK @RishiSunak @MartinSLewis @HMRCgovuk I went full time self employed Feb 19 so this will no doubt be my exact situation too when I can apply on the 28th!! If we were previously excluded on the 50/50 why are they now including it in the calculations? #SEISS4 @RishiSunak #excludeduk😡 @MartinSLewis

@Rachmorg22 @HelpNewly @ExcludedUK @RishiSunak @MartinSLewis @HMRCgovuk I've just done my claim to find I am only receiving half of what I expected due to them including 18-19 which previously left me excluded on the 50/50 rule. I was on maternity leave that year and only worked 3 months self employed. I'm devastated.

@ExcludedUK @RishiSunak @MartinSLewis @HMRCgovuk Eventually I managed to claim the 4th grant, but furious at the fact they have watered it down by 50% by using the 2018/19 tax year and divided my figures by 2. But I was previously #ExcludedUK so why are they using this tax year, when according to them I wasn’t SE??

@ExcludedUK @RishiSunak @MartinSLewis @HMRCgovuk For those now eligible after trading 100% 2019/20 why are 2016/17/18 profits included in eiss4 calculation when you discounted them as unviable and hence #ExcludedUK us for a year because of it. Anybody might think @RishiSunak had a personal Axe to grind against #ExcludedUK.

Rishi Sunak claims he had no role whatsoever in deciding who got access to his public lending schemes. He must be the first Chancellor in history to go on the record as having absolutely no idea about what was happening to hundreds of millions of pounds of public money.

Has any of the newly self employed done the pre verification checks for 4th SEISS? I'm awaiting a dropbox link where they want ID and three months of bank statements? #newlyselfemployed #seiss4 #seiss #dropbox

👇Well said, @Ianblackford_MP Nothing is off the table as far as #ExcludedUK are concerned. We will continue to push for the change so desperately needed for many UK taxpayers. We will remain the upstanding, law abiding citizens we've always been and together we'll hit back.

Chancellor states that there are 600k new entrants to the SEISS schemes but, there are only 150k newly self-employed, so who are the extra 400k?

Policy wins are rare. We should celebrate them when they come. It's great news 'newly' self-employed will be supported. Thank you @RishiSunak and to all those who have campaigned with us @craig_b @ProfJuliaRouse @ExcludedUK @APPGGapsSupport @markhart84 @EdwardJDavey and many more

Huge relief that furlough to be extended & that - as @APPGGapsSupport has long urged - the newly self-employed *will* be incorporated in SEISS 4 - it’s v. least Sunak could do But now he MUST extend support to other #excluded - this must be just the start

It sounds as if the Chancellor is about to do the right thing for people newly self-employed and agree to this proposal I put to him in January. If so, that is good news. 👏👏 But it still leaves 2M+ excluded and only increases the need for a solution for them. 🤞🤞

Finally, some of the 3 million can be brought in from the cold. People newly self-employed at the start of the pandemic are filing their 1st tax returns. This means the Government’s reason for excluding them falls away. Over to you, @RishiSunak. Please do the right thing. 👇🏻

This is now confirmed. 2019/20 tax returns will be included in SEISS 4, and there will be a fifth grant. Full details will come in tomorrow's budget

. @faisalislam saying on news at 10 the Chancellor will include 100,000s previously excluded self employed in SEISS. By that number my presumption (guess) is this must be incl 2019/20 tax returns in the 4th grant, which is the most obvious and easiest change to make. #excludeduk

@MartinSLewis I’m remaining ever hopeful that the eligibility of the SEISS 4 grant will be amended to include 2019/20 tax returns 🤞 it’s been a brutal 11 months....
