I just find the whole dismissing the Norwegian black metal scene to be weird. They're not the first scene to commit crimes (ask hardcore punk bands,) they're not the first scene to murder each other (hello rappers!), and making extreme comments to squares is something most do.

I like Judas Iscariot. They were the first usbm band I heard that convinced me we did more than 10 minute songs about how sad we were or how great nature was. That might be great for some people, but those bands bored the fuck out of me. I was convinced the US couldn't bm.
