New paper 🚨 .tl;dr: across development, neural activity often follows unpredictable (and non-linear) trajectories. Studying these non-linear dynamics is indispensable for understanding how the brain is build & the focus of dev systems neuro.
Just published the first paper - a ViewPoint article in @SfNJournals JNeuro with @Meikeesther1. We have a more thorough summary over on 🟦sky, but thought I'd put it here oo - in case there's any stragglers still on X.

When preparing to move from my postdoc to faculty position, @eLife was the most logical choice for publishing our work. I strongly recommend this journal to scientists at all career stages.
