I needed this today, so resharing wisdom from past me for others that might feel overwhelmed when thinking about the future (or lack there of) of academia and research.
Repeat after me: Don't think about what can happen in a month. Don't think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be. Now take a breath and keep it moving, we got this.
