The strongest risk factor was increased frequency of contact with suspect or confirmed #COVID19 patients without adequate PPE. 22.5% reported working when they lacked access to PPE during clinical contact with suspect or confirmed #COVID19 patients. Reasons reported ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ3/8

healthcareCOVID is the largest study of its kind + had >6000 participants The primary endpoint (composite of lab-confirmed #COVID19, self-isolation or hospitalisation due to suspected/confirmed COVID19) was reported by 29.4% of participants; 0.8% needing hospitalisation. 2/8

Our data did not suggest any different between White and BAME groups for reporting a #COVID19 endpoint, but there was a higher proportion of BAME HCW in the hospitalised group (40.8% vs 23.7%) 8/8

Working environments including home visits (OR 0.68 (0.47 โ€“ 0.98), p = 0.040), ICU/HDU (OR 0.78 (0.65 โ€“ 0.94), p = 0.007), operating theatre (OR 0.71 (0.57 โ€“ 0.87), p = 0.001), and radiology (OR 0.62 (0.42 โ€“ 0.91), were associated with decreased risk of reporting #COVID19. 6/8

A substantial number of working days have been lost: between 11,870 and 21,158 days of self-isolation were required by participants due to suspected or confirmed #COVID19. This is approximately 71 to 127 working days lost per 1000 working days. 5/8
