Insurers to Congress: Our Obamacare plans are junk. We can’t sell them if people pay 20% of premiums. Taxpayers must cover 93% on average, and 100% for many. And if 12 million people never use the coverage? Don’t ask questions—just send more taxpayer cash @kerpen @DominicJPino
🚨Obamacare subsidies cap enrollee payments, and taxpayers cover the rest. Almost all of Obamacare's large premium increases over time have been paid by our nation's taxpayers.

@Paragon_Inst @WhiteHouse BOTTOM LINE: Americans want a CLEAN CR. The Schumer Shutdown proposal would cost taxpayers billions to bail out big insurers and protect illegal aliens at the cost of billions of dollars, while cutting funding for rural health care. That is unaffordable and unacceptable.

@Paragon_Inst (Oh, and the @WhiteHouse has rightly pointed out how the Schumer proposal would spend nearly $200 billion to cover illegal aliens)

Democrats and their Fake News allies want you to believe it’s all a lie that Democrats shut down the government over free healthcare for illegal aliens.

@Paragon_Inst It’s a Distraction: Democrats want to talk about these subsidies so they can avoid talking about how their CR 1) CUTS $50 billion in rural health funding and 2) perpetuates illegal aliens on Medicaid.

@Paragon_Inst Taxpayers Would Pay Billions if Extended: If the enhanced Biden COVID credits/subsidies were extended, it would cost taxpayers between $350 and $450 billion over the budget window. That is reckless—and why a CLEAN CR is essential.

@Paragon_Inst Subsidies Would Still Be Generous: Even if the Biden COVID credits expire, the underlying subsidies would still exist. A person at the poverty line could still get care for the cost of a cup of coffee per week. The subsidies wouldn’t expire—just Biden’s reckless COVID credits.

Giveaway to Insurers: As @Paragon_Inst has reported, 40% of subsidized enrollees didn’t have a single claim last year! So insurers got paid for not treating folks. And since premiums are set for next year, expanding these would simply be a windfall for the insurers.

🚨Five Key Reasons Why the Biden COVID Credits Must Expire On Time 🚨 1. Massive Fraud: As we’ve previously reported at @TheFGA, there are more actual enrollees than there are eligible individuals to enroll! This cost taxpayers $20 billion last year: https://t.co/tNzV4VxiO3

The Biden administration incentivized individuals to commit fraud in order to maximize ObamaCare subsidies.

What are Democrats in blue states trying to hide? Instead of supplying food stamp data to the federal government, which pays for the program, 21 states filed a lawsuit to prevent this from happening. The latest from our very own @HaydenDublois for @NRO.

In states led by Democrats, the truly needy are being used as political pawns in a leftist game.

Democrats have made to clear that they want to keep the expanded COVID-era ObamaCare subsidies forever. But these subsidies "were never meant for high-income earners," says FGA's @HaydenDublois. READ: @melissa_newsham at @DailyCaller.

Democrats are threatening a government shutdown to protect pandemic-era expansions of Obamacare premium subsidies that were never meant to be permanent.

“Someone at the poverty line would go from paying nothing to paying $3.45 a week—a cup of coffee. They’d still have 98% of their premium paid for by taxpayers,” Dublois told DCNF. “Claims of massive premium spikes are just political bluster.” Read more: https://t.co/KucE4qYb3N

Democrats are claiming they want to “protect health care” — yet their CR counterproposal CUTS $50 BILLION from rural hospitals. If Dems don’t get their way, they’ll SHUT DOWN the government meaning: troops go UNPAID, WIC is UNFUNDED, FEMA is OFFLINE, and health services are
