It's sad to see mainstream/legacy outlets not support these efforts but rather maintain the status quo where incumbents continue to make money whilst not maintaining the spirit of Shariah

@AAOIFI_ORG and others are making great efforts to align the industry and it's products are genuinely involving profit/loss, risk sharing which promotes stability, transparency and fairness for all parties?

The third point is a deeper one. Despite sukuk pioneers and early issuances, the majority of sukuk in the market are asset based (similar to bonds) which doesn't always capture the spirit of Shariah principles.

Firstly the standard is not finalised, so we don't know what provisions it will or won't include. Secondly, it will be introduced gradually to ensure a smooth transition. Thirdly, why is the media against efforts to adhere closer to Islamic principles wrt sukuk?
