NWFP was what the province was called under British rule since 1901, which is why this persisted in Pakistan. Maybe one way of looking at it is that Pakistan should lay claim to Pashtun areas of Afghania 🤷🏽♀️ & say Jalalabad and Kandahar are Pakistan?

Wait till they find out there's a Hyderabad in Pakistan too
Complete nonsense. Gujrat district has a huge diaspora in Europe and the Americas. Of course they will call themselves Gujrati. That doesn’t mean they are trying to appropriate Indian Gujarati identity. Some nationalist Indians are so obsessed with what Pakistanis, it’s unreal

Secondly, these waters are shared across countries so there’s no question of paying anyone just because water systems are shared. Afghanistan can chose to cooperate with any country in the world, but when it comes to India u have to be sensitive to our concerns.
@HarrisRichard77 @ChiefMahsud Afghans are building the dam not to hurt Pakistan, but to use it for their own good. The water has been flowing into PK since 80 years, afg didn’t ask for a single cent for it. Now we are building our country and we will do what’s best for our national interest.

The river flows originally from Pakistan. Downstream countries have international rights to have water flow in natural quantity & quality. Any proposed dam must meet those international obligations. Restricting water flow is against international law.

Pakistan doesn’t mind India cooperating with Afghanistan on any project, as long as it is not potentially targeted at Pakistan. The damming of Kunar river potentially affects Pakistan, so specifically Indian involvement is suspect.
@ChiefMahsud How is cooperating with another country in trade and economic projects considered being their proxy?

Two sources confirmed to me there would be another round of talks tomorrow in Istanbul between the Taliban govt and and Pakistani delegations. Turkish diplomacy is working effectively to bring the two sides back to negotiations table. Hopes are alive for a result.

Man @EricShahzar really offended my sense of cliche with that ending. I mean really? Was this a high school project? Let me tell you why this opinion piece came out and why Al-Jazeera has recently started becoming critical of Pakistan. Qatar has always prided itself as
"Unless Islamabad can confront governance failures, regional inequalities and political mistrust, foreign policy gains will remain fragile. No... deal can substitute for a stable social contract within Pakistan itself." — #AJOpinion by Eric Shahzar ⤵️
