The thing is it doesn’t matter who you are, what you’ve done, what your intentions held, or what your side conversations were… if patients are concerned about harms, it’s always worth considering. Always. It takes a lot for people with an energy robbing condition to speak up.

If you think societal collapse is an exaggeration, I suggest you read the impact of #LongCovid calculated by an economist. He had to calculate it twice *so far*, as the numbers continue to grow. https://t.co/9mVBnrOY9i
Don't normalize or look away young people leaving their jobs in the prime of their careers because of #LongCovid. This happens while our grants for infectious disease research continue to be cut or drastically reduced. This anti-science movement will lead to societal collapse.

The day my heart couldn’t pump blood to my organs, my organs were shutting down, and I was transported to the ICU by helicopter was a better day than each day I am going through since my baseline decrease. Very severe ME is worse than hell

A reason a lot of people aren’t self aware about their character is because we’ve been conditioned to believe that being a bad person requires bad intentions. Most people don’t move through the world trying to hurt others. They’re not waking up plotting damage. So when harm is

There are absolutely ppl out there who believe in fighting for people they do and don’t know. People who are being treated as disposable by the state. Ppl who understand that if I’m disposable- you too are disposable. That if Covid can disable me- it can disable you

Healthy people have no idea how sick and disabled you can be and still not die. This isn't a call-out or anything - there are just wheels of suffering that are so far outside of normal human experience that most people never even imagine them.
You never grasp just how sick someone can become until you witness severe ME/CFS. At my worst I spent a month blindfolded with ear defenders, lying still, able only to sip water and take small amounts of food when I could digest. And others endure way worse.

Many of us are used to having to placate medical practitioners egos, to twist our experiences and words to try and get the care we so desperately need. It's exhausting, and not only that, when you are severely disabled it can be and is at times deadly.

Before I became severely disabled & bed bound I was moderately disabled & able to work part-time w/ survivors of domestic violence & did disability community organizing. The rates of abuse agst disabled ppl is astonishingly high, especially disabled women but also men. 4/

Quite simply, it replicates a pattern that many disabled ppl experience of medical professionals, family and/or caregivers threatening to withhold things that we desperately need if we don't comply with their demands... 2/

EPSTEIN BOMBSHELL: my staff is releasing a new report showing JPMorgan Chase executives – all the way to the top – enabled Epstein's sex trafficking operation. You're going to want to read this.

Senator Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, wants to examine how the nation’s largest bank handled the reporting of more than $1 billion in suspicious transactions.

The worst thing is existing in a void of relentless suffering. You don't have to be famous, rich, or lead a spectacular life. Life itself is enough, no matter how "boring" or "modest" it might be. #MECFS shows what really matters. It is life itself.

Amazing essay:
On “liberal culturalism,” of which Ezra Klein and the NYTimes are exemplars. https://t.co/Sjgc0pqElS

Telling people to 'live within their means' is pissing me off. People are living in tents, vehicles, and shelters while working full time jobs. You cant out-budget an economy that turns basic necessity into a luxury. Stop saying that shit to people.
