I've requested an urgent meeting with bosses at @PostOffice about the closure of Blackfriars Road Post Office. Many older residents and those with mobility issues are reliant on this Post Office for basic services. Also concerns about lack of consultation on closure.

I’m fast becoming the spokesperson for bodily functions 🥹 but last night I asked Cllr Martin Seaton about the decline in public toilets in #Southwark. Proper public amenities help our high streets thrive & be accessible to all. We can’t just rely on goodwill when we need to go!

While I understand the pressures on council finances I think this is counterproductive. At the very least the council should do what I suggested when the charge was first introduced and allow those on benefits free collections. £35 is not affordable for those on benefits.
If you’re thinking of using Southwark’s bulky refuse collection service to get rid of some junk you might want to do so in the current financial year, as the council is looking at putting the fee up from £25 to £35 next April.

Stopping Domestic Violence I believe that domestic abuse can be stopped - stopped before it started. Stopped before it ruins lives. Domestic abuse is unacceptable.
