Pittsburgh's Ohio River is so regularly trashed that it's enough to make you want to cover your face. 3 bags of Litter collected today, including 93 plastic bottles. That's now 631 total bags removed from this 2 mile stretch of river in the past 3 years🫣

2 bags & a bucket full of Litter/Trash + a dog bowl, basketball, and a collection of balloons🎈all removed in my 2 hour kayak on Pittsburgh's Ohio River today. The videos show you where it all likes to hide🧐. underneath overgrown vegetation & tucked away in "hot" corners

Today's Ohio River cleanup in Pittsburgh. unpacked. This is a ridiculous losing battle. If we don't get our political leaders(@GovernorShapiro @CoreyOConnorpa, etc) seriously invested in preventing the free flow of litter & outright dumping into our rivers, this will never end

Hauled away a Keg of Logyard Brewing beer + a bucket full of litter/trash(mostly dug out of the mud) from Pittsburgh's Pine Creek, today. Wouldn't you love to know the journey?🤔.Gonna repurpose the Keg into a table. Cleaning up our waterways, always eventful🍻😁

Nobody told me it was 'National Relaxation Day'🤷♂️. Fortunately, because then I would'nt have kayaked Pittsburgh's Allegheny River and removed a stationary bike, large car part, shredded tire, small tire, piece of foam & 1 bag of litter/trash. I'm gonna go relax now

Just removed this stationary bike from Pittsburgh's Allegheny River. It was submerged right below the fishing pier. A difficult 20-minute battle to drag it to this shoreline

Local Org 'FriendsOfTheRiverfront' staged a cleanup on Pittsburgh's Ohio River today. 11 of us focused our work on a severely trashed 100-yard section of shoreline that had been long neglected. We removed. A LOT!💪🌎.And I found that speed boat I never wanted⚓️

This is the sad state of Pittsburgh's Ohio River on todays volunteer event. Typical litter floating about + tons of dumped encampment related gear sitting the entire way up the hillside. There's a 100-yard stretch of riverbank trashed like this. @Pittsburgh, hire a cleanup crew

Biked the Redbank Valley Trail today, a really beautiful, scenic ride. We also saw Bear, Fox, and an Owl. The encounters weren't quite as riveting as it might sound.

. the styrofoam I hauled away was sitting in Chartiers Creek, but there was a whole lot more of it up on the hillside, clearly dumped. Also had a couple fun finds, this 101 Dalmatians snow globe & a really nice old school Pepsi bottle🧐👍

During today's kayak-cleanup of Pittsburgh's Chartiers Creek, I removed 2 huge pieces of styrofoam(clearly dumped), a very long orange pole🤷♂️, hub cap, rubber mat + 1 bag of litter/trash

Sitting on my deck tonight, I witnessed my neighbor walk out of his basement, onto his patio, and pee on his retaining wall 3 times in an hour about 30 feet away from me. Talk about awkward. (obviously, he didn't know I was home).Just a Friday night in 'Pissburgh'🤣.

On todays volunteer cleanup of Pittsburgh's Strip District, I found a really nice pair of sunglasses & a medical marijuana card. Not sure about you, but I'm ready for the weekend!🌱😎

I couldn't stomach cleaning up Pittsburgh's Ohio River today, so I focused the majority of my work on nearby Chartiers Creek. I left still feeling awfully quesy🤢.2 bags of litter, traffic cone, broken chair, soccer ball, & inflatable ball. Significant changes are required, fyi🙄
