Removed my 450th Earthcleanup bag of #Litter from Clearwater's Stevenson Creek. My obsession with cleaning this creek began in May 2022. I was in shock at the magnitude of the pollution rotting away in the mangroves. Devastating scenes. The creek is significantly cleaner now💚🌎

They rolled out the welcome mat for me today on Clearwater Beach... Well, technically I found the mat & rolled it out for myself😁 76 pieces of litter bagged up today including maybe the most weathered hat I've ever found😳 The partial cloud cover made for some beautiful sights😎

Stevenson Creek cleanups are currently on pause as I try to heal an angry back. However, I did 'branch out'🌳 today for a scenic walk along Clearwater Harbor...picked up a couple plastic bottles along the way too

On today's 2.5 hour paddle on Clearwater's Stevenson Creek, I removed 1 bag & 1 bucket full of litter, including 45 plastic bottles + a dirty bucket & a barnacle covered tire that has seen some things. A beautiful day to kayak & cleanup🌎

Yesterday I joined a 'Big Cleanup Clearwater' event and it just so happened to be at my favorite spot...Stevenson Creek! 20+ volunteers removed hundreds of pounds of trash from the creeks mangroves. My haul included that monster truck tire, chair, jolly ball & a bag of litter

Low tide on Clearwater's Stevenson Creek this morning allowed me to access & lift this monster truck tire out of the mud, roll it up about 30 yards thru a pathway in the mangroves & ultimately to safety for pickup👍 Really thankful this thing wasn't too buried in the mud

In Feb 2024 I identified what I thought would be the perfect location for the installation of a trash barrier on Clearwater's Stevenson Creek. Today it's a reality & it's working 24/7/365 to help protect the creek. A fantastic feeling personally to finally see it with my own eyes

Next cleanup stop, Clearwater Florida's picturesque🖼 Stevenson Creek. Over the past 3.5 years I've removed 486 bags of litter & 10,979 plastic bottles from this 3 mile long creek. Adding to these totals starting this week feels like a safe bet😁

Too windy to kayak today, so I accessed Pittsburgh's Ohio River shoreline by foot. The 1.5 hour cleanup resulted in removing 3 bags of litter, 83 plastic bottles + a 'Jolly Ball'🤷‍♂️😁, chair, and a bicycle seat

Plastic bottle #4,000 removed from Pittsburgh's Ohio River since mid-May. 20,718 of them since June 2022. Easily preventable. Simply use a trash can. But too many don't-give-a-shit people can't be bothered.
