@AidaShahraki @schulte_lab @dahilger The resulting most potent ligand MR20 represents an important stepping stone for future ligand design for this underexplored receptor. We also hope that our study provides a blueprint for how ligands can be discovered for other poorly characterized #GPCRs.

Together with Martin Lohse, I designed the GPR3 sensor, Ainoleena Turku screened for ligands with input Peter Kolb & @AidaShahraki, and Maxi Rath &@SteffenPockes & team crafted a lot of derivatives. @schulte_lab and @dahilger provided infrastructure & many a helpful guidance.

Finding ligands for pharmacologically dark #GPCRs is not easy. But through a combined strategy of #biosensor design, virtual screening and medicinal chemistry it can be done! .Here's our latest preprint detailing the workflow for #GPR3:

What a wonderful event! Looking forward to next year ☺️ thanks @dfg_public!.
Ballons, Ballons. #25JahreENP

@Uni_MR We will dive into the fascinating question how so many #GPCRs expressed in the same cell can activate the same #Gprotein but induce distinct signals and cellular responses! Interested? Please reach out ✉️.

I'm extremely honored and grateful to be awarded the competitive Emmy Noether Program to establish my own research lab @Uni_MR! .I'd like to thank all my past and present mentors and colleagues for the support I've received. Let's get this started #GPCRs #Gproteins #biosensors!.

I’m proud to become part of this fantastic #ECI seminar series! Tune in on 🗓️ June 13 ❗️to hear about our efforts in using a conformational GPR3 #biosensor to identify ligands for this orphan #GPCR.
📢Book your agenda! .Our next session is on June 13th (4 pm CET, 10 am EST, 7 am PST, and 11 pm ASWT) and we will host.@HSchihada and Eline Pottie, two excellent ECIs working on tool development for #GPCRs. #ECI_GPCRforum
