"If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t be terrified of homeschooling. I would be terrified of public education and their lack of responsibility to these kids and lack of any accountability when they fail to teach with high expectations.".
My son attended 7th grade in Joliet. He was an A/B student according to his report cards. Never a grade issue. Never a discipline issue. He is currently repeating 7th ELA and math through an online private school. He has a 58% in ELA. He cannot write complete sentences. He

Why do I homeschool? Illegal aliens don't need vaccine exemptions to attend public schools, but American citizens do. Illegal alien children are shoved into public schools while their vaccine status is unknown. This two-tiered system of laws is destroying our country.
We need to make sure parents have access to religious exemptions for vaccines for their children in all 50 states. If you’re having trouble in your state, leave a comment below.

Share this article with anyone who says illegal aliens haven't been receiving Medicaid. You have to read further in the article before the Tribune admits these immigrants are in the country ILLEGALLY. Enough is enough. Enforce our laws. Defund and deport all illegal aliens.
In Illinois, adult immigrants ages 42-64 without legal status have lost their health care to save an estimated $404 million.

We all have presuppositions. Some of us are willing to admit that. Many are not.
Yes, I’ll admit it—I start with the Bible!. I remember one time, a few years ago, a well-known atheist in the US was interviewing me in my office concerning the creation/evolution issue and the book of Genesis. The conversation went something like this:. “So you admit that you.

How do you teach children to read regardless of their socioeconomic status? The Science of Reading is clear; direct systematic phonics instruction works.
Imagine a school district where every child learns to read. Dreamy, right?. That’s reality in Steubenville, Ohio — featured in @ehanford’s latest podcast. A powerful example for the nation. Let’s learn from Steubenville. @NCTQ @reading_league @salmahayek @NationalParents

Why do I homeschool? The ability to read well for sustained periods of time strengthens ones ability to think, wrestle with ideas, form logical conclusions, and communicate persuasively. Without these skills, students are vulnerable to Marxist propaganda.
Most adults have no clue that the majority of entering undergrads can’t read a book. They’re so reliant upon short YouTube summaries, AI, etc that they literally don’t have the ability to sit down uninterruptedly and with patience read a book of depth. They flatly don’t know how.

If true, this is heartbreaking. As a parent with a 23-year-old autistic son, I know how hard it is to get services and how expensive care is. This is why I support getting fraud, waste, and abuse out of Medicaid.
🚨 BREAKING: 85 Autism Centers in Minnesota are under investigation for fraudulently billing Medicaid. The program started with just $1.2M in its first year. Now it’s billing over $228M in 2024 alone. Welcome to Tim Walz’s Minnesota.

This is why I classically homeschool. As human beings, we have deeper longings that can't be fulfilled by getting a job. Education is so much more. No matter your station in life, the ability to read, think deeply & logically, and communicate persuasively is of great value.
In case you missed Jennifer Frey’s New York Times article that is setting the internet on fire — here’s a summary of her powerful critique of how universities are failing students who want a true liberal arts education. A thread 🧵
