At 1100 on Remembrance Sunday, we paused our relief work at Falmouth All Ages School to remember those who gave everything and those who continue to Serve. Standing alongside our Jamaican partners, we remembered too the victims of Hurricane Melissa. 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇧🇯🇲

We remember them.    On behalf of the nation, The King lays a wreath at the Cenotaph during the annual Service of Remembrance.   Wreaths were laid by The Prince of Wales, and The Duke of Edinburgh, and on behalf of The Queen, and The Duke of Kent.

Alongside providing specialist engineering, we've been cleaning and clearing the wards of Falmouth Hospital. 🇯🇲 By removing the rubble we're enabling the rebuilding work to begin and helping the hospital get back on its feet after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.

HMS Trent update We have tasked @HMSTrent with specialist personnel and equipment to assist the recovery efforts in Jamaica. I’m extremely proud of the vital role the personnel onboard @HMSTrent will be playing to provide disaster relief and support where it is needed most.

I spoke to Premier Misick of the Turks & Caicos Islands to reaffirm UK support for our Overseas Territories affected by Hurricane Melissa. The Royal Navy’s @HMSTrent is now in Turks & Caicos Islands waters to assist with local recovery efforts.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa is truly terrible to see. I am grateful to @HMSTrent @RoyalNavy alongside other deployed @DefenceHQ personnel in vicinity of the Turks & Caicos Islands, ready to provide disaster relief.
