#RoyalMarines at 11 Sqn supported the @RNLI at Clovelly lifeboat centre by moving their boat launching trailer for refurbishment. Due to the location and single road access the only means of moving it was by sea, so with our LCU capability we were able to support! ⚓��

Today members of @47CdoRM paid their respects at the Landing Craft Gun (LCG) 15 & 16 Stone of Remembrance in Freshwater West, Wales. LCG 15 & 16 sank in April 1943 after they ran into a severe storm. The wrecks are now a war grave and memorial to the men who lost their lives.

Wooohooo, we’ve just had our first landing craft utility (LCU) refit in 6 years. Battling against loss of knowledge, due to time and turnover of personnel, the team have put in more than 90,000 manhours to successfully pass harbour and sea acceptance trials.
