A lot of the anti-ceasfire rhetoric is based on the imagined idea that Hamas wouldn't acknowledge it (despite putting 2 ceasefire proposals to Israel already, which all involved releasing hostages). None of them engages with the reality that the Knesset doesn't want one
Let me clarify my views on a ceasefire. For a ceasefire to work, it needs to be respected by both sides, the hostages must be released, aid into Gaza massively increased and genuine negotiations around a two-state solution (security assurances to both sides) must begin
