Hydrogen is widely used in industry and is a critical clean energy carrier, but it is inherently infrared-inactive. By integrating patterned silicon carbide with palladium, our hybridized platform achieves ultrasensitive and reversible sensing in the molecular fingerprint region.

Congrats to Deyu Li @VanderbiltU and Frances Ross @MIT for winning two of the @NSF TRAILBLAZER (unsure why NSF is yelling at us) awards. $3M/3 yrs is a good deal, even with the recent inflation.
