Small groups from the Chinese-American community in New York and New Jersey are uniting to fight the coronavirus even as they face racist remarks and some physical attacks. They are creating vast networks via WeChat to find supplies for doctors and nurses.

Although many have weathered racist remarks and some physical attacks over the virus, Chinese-Americans are tapping their deep social networks to procure medical supplies.

Several studies are coming out saying that blood LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) levels early in #COVID19 disease correlates with severe disease progression. This is a clue that #pyroptosis may be a the core of this disease (1/n). https://t.co/AFM9jI33sB

If we don’t collect the epidemiological data, we will be at loss again in the next round!
THIS IS SO DAMN WRONG... “US’s 2nd largest city health system has told its staff that it is 📌essentially abandoning hope of containing #COVID19 and 📌instructed doctors *NOT* to test symptomatic patients if a positive result won’t change treatment.” 🤬

What will go down as the biggest breakdown in the US response to #COVID19 is the lack of test kits. South Korea and the US had their 1st patients on Jan 20 and Jan 21, respectively. Look at the difference in daily testing. By March 4th, SK was ~18,000 per day.
