Pal of mine did something very hurtful to his best friend. Said friend agreed to hearing him out. Dude then sent a ChatGPT apology over WhatsApp. His best friend broke contact with him. And he was right, lmao.
today i learned that there are actual people irl who get genuinely upset if they catch you using chatgpt. like they view it as a serious moral failing in certain circles.

Humanities and STEM require different talents. Not everyone can or should do engineering, nor would society function if everyone was a historian. You need both.

It actually used to be the other way around. Philosophers and historians were the rockstars of the middle ages. The fetish with exact sciences is somewhat recent, and ironically mostly perpetuated by people with a degree in neither.
i hate the fact that math and science smart students are considered smarter than english and history smart students.
