Fun fact: Pro bono lawyers are allowed to directly solicit clients, while for-profit lawyers are not, specifically because we don't have a financial interest in the outcome of the case. Taking on clients costs us money.

On Tuesday SCOTUS will hear Chiles v Salazar, the professional speech doctrine case from Colorado involving its ban on counselors offering "talk therapy" to persons who are struggling with their sexual orientation. I'll join Georgetown's Stephanie Barclay that afternoon for a

I have like a 40/60 success rate at getting both hotel room and airplane seat upgrades bc I smiled and asked nicely with a tie and jacket on.
Men who complain about women having pretty privilege have never dressed up in a suit and smiled warmly at everyone they meet. People blush and call you sir. Clerks give you things for free. The world is putty in your hands.
