When I first got into teaching, there was a lot of good will and trust from parents towards the system. It’s no secret that the pandemic changed that for some people. Still today, many schools refuse to focus their mission on teaching stuff well. Rebuilding trust begins there.

Sparty hasn’t had a night like this in a bit.. -They beat Boston College in thrilling fashion in OT. -Aidan Chiles was fantastic with 5 total scores, including a couple sensational, game changing runs. -And, Michigan lost by double digits It’s a great evening in East Lansing.

Few now live who remember it, but it’s possible to have health policy that is pro-measles vaccines and against transing the kids. It’s allowed!
When I see all these senators trying to lecture and "gotcha" Bobby Kennedy today all I can think is: You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal "therapies" for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. You're full of shit and everyone knows it.

Why were we taught a convoluted planning process that didn’t help us plan lessons? Why were we taught a convoluted ideology about human nature that didn’t help us manage behavior? Why were we taught to go against our instincts to teach, when we were training to be teachers?

Jonathan Smith has a chance this weekend to gain some trust from the fan base this week. So does Aidan Chiles. I think they both will do just that. Huge game to say the least.

I don't yet know what to do for an AI policy in class that will best help my students learn. But this essay by @spinedu helped. I'll need to add some in-class writing. Professors with other helpful links or ideas, please put them in comments https://t.co/EPYL9ldkmW

I've met a few guys running guns from Mississippi and you know how you can stop them running guns from Mississippi -- they all have other charges, mostly "small time" drug dealing, and other lesser felonies. If you lock them up for those, then you would really hurt the gun

As another man who once worked with me declares himself saddened by my beliefs on gender and sex, I thought it might be useful to compile a list for handy reference. Which of the following do you imagine makes actors and directors who aren’t involved with the HBO reboot of Harry

Interesting dynamic. As a generalisation, people are agreeing with this on Twitter and disagreeing with it on LinkedIn.

Disciplinary literacy - The way that a historian reads, writes and thinks is different to how scientist operates. Each subject context has different needs and requirements. It's useful to point this out and have students (and sometimes teachers!) reflect on this.

I think I've spoken to the national meetings at more denominations than anyone else-- largely because I have been willing to go to small denominations too! I've always thought that C.S. Lewis had great advice, when he compared denominations to rooms. “When you have reached

Keller’s thirdwayism was never about some middle way, rather he was showing that the gospel brings about a way that is different from, transcends, and cuts across both wrong ways.

Antonin Scalia, in defense of the right to burn the American flag: "If it were up to me, I would put in jail every sandal-wearing, scruffy-bearded weirdo who burns the American flag. But I am not king." The arch conservative justice was part of the 5-4 majority decision in Texas
