A classic #LibDemBarChart in #Portsmouth Firstly, reform have 8 councillors, not 2. Secondly, the number of Councillors is irrelevant. Thirdly, conservatives were in 3rd by number of votes. Fourthly, it's out of date data that doesn't factor in our Green campaign. @libdembarchart

Several UK cities have introduced a #CleanAirZone. Cities with a CAZ fared slightly better in the 2021-2023 period (11% drop ) than those without (5% drop, excluding Sheffield as data not available). #AirPollution #LetPompeyBreathe https://t.co/eUtrwVLmnZ

Oh come on Labour - so depressing to hear Pat McFadden say UK has no plans for a youth mobility scheme with the EU. We have schemes with NZ, Australia, Canada, Japan, Iceland, Uruguay - only reason not to have one with EU is fear of right wing press. Such cowardice @bbclaurak

#AssistedDying Compassion and safety are the cornerstones of this Bill; bringing choice to those who want and need it as they die, but also introducing regulation and scrutiny where there is currently none. That benefits us all.

🧵Call a General Election? A 2016 petition calling on the Govt to have a threshold on the EU referendum got more than FOUR MILLION signatures. A 2019 petition calling on the Govt to revoke Article 50 & remain in the EU got more than SIX MILLION signatories. Both were ignored.

Once more, with feeling. The BBC should not leave it to guests to reveal who funds the organisations the other guests work for. This is what its own editorial guidelines say.

It’s still possible to make people’s lives better, but not through tax cuts for the rich and investment incentives for big business. Politicians have to stop talking about boosting ‘the economy’, and start talking about supporting the people who make the economy go round.

79% of the UK public were opposed to water privatisation. Margaret Thatcher ignored them & pushed on with it anyway. It's turned out even worse than many warned. What's extraordinary is that a Labour government won't consider reversing it. #MARCHFORCLEANWATER #floodthestreets

All the takes are correct and yet they also miss the point. Yes, it was insane for the Democrats to think they could win by running a soulless candidate, without a shred of progressive policy vision, pursuing endorsements from neocon war-hawks everybody hates, while arming and

Today's National Audit Office report found that between 9,000-12,000 buildings with unsafe cladding require remediation. Of those, only 4,771 have been identified for works. By this August, only 1,392 had completed works. This scandal is the result of obsessive deregulation.

Of course, the limousine liberals on Morning Joe are concluding Harris lost bc Dems went too "woke" & push "cancel culture." REALITY why she lost: 🚨75% voters said inflation had severe or moderate impact 🚨73% voters said dissatisfied or angry about way things are going A 🧵

Footage from the March for Clean Water on Sunday! It speaks volumes of the state of a country when tens of thousands of people come to the capital to demand clean water. The Tories first started this mess when they privatised the water companies over 30 years ago. Neoliberalism!
