BRIGHT COMET ALERT THIS MONTH! Our photo of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, observed 14/10/24, may be similar to the view of Comet A6 Lemmon which has brightened in recent days. Astronomers predict it will become visible naked-eye around 20/10/25. Clear skies! #Astronomy #stargazing

There are many things this ‘could’ be, one of which is a giant space turd shat, intentionally or otherwise, towards the solar system from what passes for the arse of a sentient molecular cloud. My money, however, is on a lump of ice and rock.

Keep your eyes peeled for noctilucent "night-shining" clouds over the coming evenings and early mornings. The electric-blue wispy clouds appear towards the northern horizon approximately an hour after sunset and an hour before sunrise. 23:00 BST and 02:30 BST are ideal times.

Ahh space… bit of a waste of time isn’t it? I mean, it looks cool, love the pics, but honestly, what’s the point? It’s not making my life easier, right? … sure about that? 😜 My @TEDx talk is finally in the wild! Enjoy 🥳 @esa @NASA_Johnson @ESO https://t.co/yMWIJDgqeV
