Update I found a barebones PC at a local mom and pop shop for $80 with an i5 7500. threw in a 256GB ssd (way overkill for OPNsense) and I bought an Intel nic on Amazon for $30. So for under $150 I will build a router PC / firewall that will shit on a $300 off the shelf router.
Here I am at 1 am looking at possibly building a router instead of buying a new one because fuck it why not lol
