Yesterday everyone had an opportunity to talk transit, squandered the opportunity, a few "gems" even took time to degrade transit. But one, @laine_johnson1 said what needed to be said, and what I think is a fairly succinct comment on the state of the Transit.

Amazing highlight reel for Sinc. Goals 6 and 7 are definitely etched in my memory. What a GOAT!

@ottawacity Who asked for plowing, salting & gritting on this bridge? No-one. The NCC pathways aren't plowed, salted or gritted and people use them all winter - the same people (skiers, snowshoers, fat tire bikers) want to use that bridge. Open it! #ottcity

This map says it all. Ottawa's finances are in shambles, we have a homeless crisis, public transit is falling apart - but majority of councillors outside core approve bailout for the richest businessmen (and campaign donors) in the city.

@ShawnMenard1 This was not part of the public discussion and @_MarkSutcliffe did NOT run on this platform. If you want to get an idea of how handing over public lands to private developers goes down, I’d suggest City council consider the #Greenbelt scandal as an indication

I brought my daughter to @ShopprsDrugMart for her scheduled pediatric vaccine, after booking appt for said vaccine, only to find out that it's not available. Like, they don't even have it. The rationale given to me was "the website says subject to availability ma'am". 🤯 #onpoli

I remember when it was built. A suburban city councillor claimed it would have so few users, you could count the footprints in the snow. It’s actually probably one of Ottawa’s most successful active infrastructure projects. Ever. A point to remember as we think about choices.

Exciting news! The 1st Ottawa Urbanist Walk is finally happening on Sunday November 5 meeting at 2pm at Patterson Creek (by the pond). For the 1st walk I thought we would explore my neighborhood the Glebe and also visit Lansdowne and talk about ideas for it. #Ottawa #OttWalk

Can @ottawacity please explain why Catherine Street needs to be 3 lanes wide, when, even with the entire W-B 417 detoured onto it, only 1 lane is being used? Narrow it, add a bus lane, add cycling infrastructure, plant trees, anything. What a dumb wide road.

We get it. We are obsessed with QED too. The difference is that we see the potential of our city & QED. We WANT to hear ideas. We want to explore how the people CAN make QED amazing. This is… just zero value add. And a pretty sad attempt at engagement.
