The SFI Centre for Research Training in Genomics Data Science is a PhD training programme based in 6 Irish Universities which will train 100 PhD students

We are pleased to announce the launch of the POI-2 PhD Scholarship programme. Thanks to support from Research Ireland, TCD & RCSI, this programme will fund 19 PhD scholarships in precision oncology. Applications for Cohort 1 are now open, with a deadline of Mon 5th Jan 2026.

Excited to share that one of my PhD thesis chapters has now been published! In this study, we explored strain-level variation among vaginal Lactobacillus using shotgun metagenomics, focusing on colonisation and host-microbe interactions.
