We're heading straight for another "we all partied" moment w/ these spoofers in charge. Only this time the lie is harder to sell when 80% can't save €125pm, & cost of living is relentlessly rising. The "hard work of the people of Ireland" is being squandered by these chancers.

That should read that the new guidelines could make "€50k - €100k more profits for developers", because anyone who thinks the savings will be passed on to potential buyers is living in bizarro world 🙄.

Perhaps the UN would be better served advising our Govt of their obligations as per our constitution to create a society whereby mothers are not forced to choose between keeping a roof over their heads/food on the table&being home with their children during their formative years.

Oh look, more faux outrage for the cameras over yet ANOTHER scandal affecting the most vulnerable in our society. If he really cared nursing homes wouldn't be a "for profit" sector. But he doesn't. Because he & his buddies on govt benches care more about money than society.
What was uncovered by RTÉ Investigates was horrific and absolutely unacceptable. Our priority at this stage is those living in the nursing homes.

Let me rephrase that for you:. "It doesn't matter how good or bad you do in the LC because we've destroyed the social contract so that hard work doesn't pay off, and you'll more than likely have to emigrate because there's no life for you here, and we couldn't care less.".

"they're not my lived reality". The sign of a decent person is the ability to look past their own lived reality, to put themselves in others shoes, to have empathy for struggles they themselves are lucky not to have. They care. Only selfish people can't do that.
The message to the haters is the same now as it was then, give it up. I ignore negative comment they’re not my lived reality. 99% of people I meet are decent. To the loud 1% who think otherwise, I won’t be bothered by your twisted, nasty remarks. Move on and be productive.

If what we have now is FG's idea of a "top priority", I'd hate to see what children's disability services would look like if they were an afterthought. They. Don't. Care. About. You. Or. Your. Kids. (And they never have).

As someone who represents rural Ireland, I completely disagree with “boycotting” holiday homeowners. They support local shops, jobs & communities. We should welcome tourists, not drive them away. This won’t solve the housing crisis.
