Had the HC of an undefeated team tell me today his punter quit last week...his Mom sent an email telling him how horrible of a HC he is because "they don't punt enough" Literally can't make this stuff up #txhsfb

‼️Recruiting tip from an Evaluator‼️ - Routine plays are not highlights. - The order of your highlights matters. - We watch full games. Never loaf. - Body language speaks volumes. Remember: Everything is an evaluation💡

As an athlete, don’t put too much pressure on yourself to succeed. Not only does this hurt your mental health, but it also hurts your performance in games. To be happy and successful, you need to take unnecessary pressure off of yourself, have fun, and keep a positive attitude.

If someone sees you play a year from today, would they see any REAL difference? If not, you really need to evaluate your daily habits & off season work outs. Please don’t spend your entire off season doing the same thing you did last year & then come back the same player! Again!

As an athlete, your sport is more than a game, but it’s not life. You should take your sport seriously and work hard to achieve your goals, but never lose sight of what matters most in life.

Scary scene just south of West Texas High’s football stadium and actually in the community of Stinnett. Let’s hope everyone is alright. 📸 @copley_andy

Team Culture is Fragile. It takes daily attention. Here are 10 things that can HURT a Team Culture Drip by Drip. 1: Showing up Late Being late tells your team that ME > WE. This is a dangerous place to go. Respect your teammates time. Respect your coaches time. Be on time.

PLAYERS: If you want to stand out or gain an advantage, do the work that others refuse to do. Fill a need on your team. Find ways to be valuable. Excel at the little things. Come early. Stay later. Do a little bit extra.

Leadership in Basketball: 1. Being a leader isn't about being the best player 2. It's about being the best teammate 3. Be the first to arrive, last to leave 4. Work harder than anyone else on your team
