Next, we took a deep dive into data quality divergences between sites to develop a rodent-adapted toolkit for data quality assessment. With these tools, we provide recommendations for designing confound correction models, and for quality control prior to connectivity analysis.

In this preprint, we first evaluate our preprocessing workflow against >20 different acquisition sites including both mice and rats. We achieve ~99% success rate. This was only possible thanks to support from @gadevenyi and his amazing registration tools.

RABIES has a modular design with multiple stages, first conducting minimal preprocessing (normalization to commonspace, head motion correction and distortion correction), followed with the design of confound correction, and finally the generation of standard connectivity outputs.
