The workshop was well-attended and featured a series of fascinating presentations on sources, methods, and databases that help us better understand historical causes of death.

The training covered: 🔍 Identifying key elements for accurate coding ⚠️ Highlighting components that should be flagged 🧩 Parsing strategies for both natural and violent causes of death 💡 Practical coding techniques—selecting and applying ICD10h codes efficiently

Over the course of two intensive days, participants delved into best practices for tidying and analyzing cause-of-death data. 📊

The 𝐈𝐂𝐃𝟏𝟎𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 was held in Cambridge from July 8–10, organized in collaboration with the @GREATLEAPCost, the University of Cambridge, and the Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure.
