Very disappointed to be cancelling my trip to the #2023GPCRRetreat tomorrow due to COVID. Was very much looking forward seeing everyone and returning to Montebello - a venue the retreat hadn’t been to in over 10 years and was one of my all time favourites. Enjoy, everyone!.

An incredible study and resource with many important findings: including reclassification of group I mGluRs and some DREADDs, to name a few! Many congratulations to Kirill, Ikuo, and team.
Our systematic investigation of G protein coupling profiles of 100+ #GPCRs driven by the one and only Ikuo Masuho is out after ~10 years of work. We see many interesting patterns with the help of AI. Check it out- there is a useful reference table.

First day in the lab as a PI @SBRC and Assistant Professor @UManitoba where we’ll study GPCR pharmacology & neuropsychiatric disease! Excited to begin filling this lab with colleagues to share in GPCR enthusiasm - passed down to me from my mentors @FergusonottawaS and @KLabGPCR!

A compelling trafficking study demonstrating mGluR7 mobility and subsynaptic localization are predominantly regulated by it’s extracellular domain - suggestive of the integral role of trans-synaptic interactors (like ELFNs) in group III mGluR biology. Glad to see this published!.
Finally it is out! Subsynaptic mobility of presynaptic mGluR types is differentially regulated by intra- and extracellular interactions.

I've just registered for the GPCR Retreat and I couldn't be more thrilled! I haven't missed one since my first attendance in 2008 and it feels extra personalized this year with my mentors @FergusonottawaS and @KLabGPCR as Keynotes. Looking forward to seeing everyone in person!.

It’s been incredible watching this develop! Congratulations to all involved, especially @Dipak_P_tsri and @KLabGPCR!.
Can a #GPCR structure still surprise you? Happy to present #CryoEM structure of an orphan receptor GPR158. Couples to RGS instead of G proteins. Features an extracellular Cache domain for ligand binding.Forms a unique tight dimer stapled by phospholipids
