Travelling on the RMS St Helena was always special, and especially during the holiday season when she was decked out for Christmas, even with its own fireplace. I was lucky enough to sail on Voyage 250 that sailed from Cape Town on 1 December 2016 for the journey up to St Helena

This morning the Commanding Officer laid a wreath at the Cenotaph of St Helena to commemorate all those lost on RFA Darkdale when she was torpedoed and sunk in 1941 whilst at anchor. @GO_ASHT @RFAHeadquarters

Also this morning, the Commanding Officer and others were hosted at the Governorโs residence, Plantation House, where we also got to meet the amazing Jonathan, the worldโs oldest living creature, estimated to be around 194 years old! @RFAHeadquarters
