Suppose I have a matrix `foo` of dimension `[N, M]`, and I want to calculate the product of each row. Using numpy I can do ``` bar = https://t.co/8137xV1SOC(foo, axis=-1) ``` but how to achieve this in R? Doing `apply(foo, 1, prod)` is really slow!

Coming up for air after 12 months of COVID modelling. So many different model version run at different times on different geographies. Results comprise many files...but how to successfully catalogue and search it all? What do people use?

Kind of reminds me of the fuel economy gauge just after you've reset it. There's no way round fluctuating estimates early on in any data capture, but instead we need to focus on measuring uncertainty properly, and quote it transparently.

Porting GEM to @TensorFlow 2.0, and upgrading to tensorflow-probability 0.8.0 in the process throws an interesting warning: edward2 is deprectated and will be removed as of 2019-12-01. Why, and what replaced it? #yakshaving
