Paris was definitely a pivotal moment; just 3rd or so :)
@patphelan @om there is also a video of @travisk where he explains how it started because they couldn’t find a cab at @leweb indeed. But I think @gc says they had the idea before and only decided to start it in Paris. I am not sure.

That was way later. The media just tends to latch on to things they like, even if it was like the 3rd or 4th pivotal moment
I thought the second one was in Paris waiting for a cab ride at Le Web. Or at least that was the @uber origin story for the longest time. 🤔
