@Zaneris It’s not the early 2000s anymore. Halo is of its time, maybe more than any other game franchise. So they are constantly trying to either take Halo out of 2001 and modernize it (which breaks it) or take players back to 2001 with nostalgia (which is impossible).

Classic JRPGs are an acquired taste. There's something special about sharing an experience on a 30 year old timeless classic. Those that love them have a tremendous, unwavering affinity for the characters, setting and gameplay. Chrono Trigger still stands the test of time ⏳️

It's definitely preferable to taking existing characters and race swapping them for the sake of a political statement. But creating a new character's overall story around said similar political statement is still cringe and lame. The audience that actually spends money on these
