Our previous climate strikes were something to be proud of but we're only as good as our next actions. Please write your councilor and MPs about halving @RegionWaterloo's emissions by 2030 at per the @50x30WR campaign. Tell @RajSaini4KitCen that we need real zero by 2050!

We've missed you all and, even though we are committed to flattening the curve of the COVID pandemic, we also need to flatten the curve of carbon pollution and GHGs. Masks mandatory. Much love <3 The Fridays for Future Waterloo Region team.

All donated items will be given to @UnshelteredC so that Waterloo Region's unsheltered residents will have warm feet this winter. Climate action is mutual aid. 3/

Because current COVID restrictions mean we can't gather more than 25 people at a time, shoes will take the place of people desperately wanting a livable future. We're asking all of you lovely strikers to donate new or gently used winter footwear and new socks. 2/

Indigenous community was specifically invited to open the #climatestrikeWR rally because organizers recognized Indigenous peoples as original caretakers of the land & leaders in #environmentaljustice. Youth, students, ceremonial drummers & Elders participated. 1/3
