Outside of the UK, the effects of climate change on the food system are already being felt. In East Africa, we are seeing the worst drought in 40 years, with 23 million people being pushed towards starvation. @ONEintheUK

Our food system is a significant contributor to and potential victim of climate change. We heard how continuing to rely on long and fragile food supply chains is a risky strategy for the UK. Food security needs to move higher up the political agenda.
