Congress is another step closer to having no real function and complete irrelevance this morning.

If the U.S. military is kidnapping criminal presidents now, they should have started with the U.S.

Not for nothing, it’s a tad awkward to arrest one narco-president a few weeks after pardoning another narco-president.

Trump and his cronies can try to dress this up, but it is an illegal act of war to replace Maduro and grab Venezuela's oil for his billionaire buddies. Full statement below:

This argument means that any time a president wants to invade a country "legally," he just has to get his DOJ to indict the country's leader. It makes Congress' power to declare war totally meaningless.

FOLKS NEED TO REALIZE HOW HUGE THIS IS For the first time in modern Texas history, Democrats have candidates running in every state and federal race on the 2026 ballot. That includes all congressional seats, every state House and state Senate race, plus statewide judicial and

🚨 Chris Murphy when asked about possible military strikes on Venezuela: "It's pretty clear it's just an effort to distract people from the rising prices and the Epstein scandal. No one wants a war with Venezuela ... and by the way, it's wildly illegal."

I think the bigger question is this: why did Trump protect and pardon Juan Orlando Hernández, a convicted drug trafficker, while turning Maduro into a political trophy? And the answer probably has a lot less to do with justice and a lot more to do with who was useful to Donald

@MarkWarner Trump knows it was un-Constitutional.
@MilesTaylorUSA Trump's White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles told Vanity Fair that the Trump administration does not need congressional approval to strike suspected drug-trafficking boats, but would require Congress’s authorization if attacks were carried out on Venezuela’s mainland.

Our Constitution places the gravest decisions about the use of military force in the hands of Congress for a reason. Using military force to enact regime change demands the closest scrutiny, precisely because the consequences do not end with the initial strike. (1/5)

Rubio: This is about a dictator who oppresses his people. Hegseth: It’s about drugs that pose an imminent threat. Trump: Nah, it’s about oil.
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you see as the future of Venezuela's oil industry? TRUMP: Well I see that we're gonna be very strongly involved in it. That's all. What can I say. We have the greatest oil companies in the world.

@LeaderJohnThune Why did you stay silent about pardoning President Hernandez on the exact same charges and issues? Which is it? Are only countries that have oil threats?

Aspirin thins your blood. Trump’s 325mg daily aspirin, which he’s been taking for years, would have painted his ENTIRE white shirt red. His alleged “assassination attempt” was undeniably as fake and phony as the imitation blood HE smeared on his face.

CJ Roberts has a lot to answer for. And he will, if Trump doesn’t take him out first.
I saw a quote from Rubio stating that Maduro will stand trial in US courts. Apparently, our policy is that we can now seize foreign presidents, transport them here, and our courts can try these foreign presidents to hold them accountable for crimes ... but NOT a US president.
