More sobering news from IFAN, that shouldn’t really be a surprise, but important 2 continue 2 highlight. UK society & our governance structures have normalised charity food aid to manage poverty for a decade+, & despite lots of heroic local effort it’s not sustainable or working!

Good 2 see a focus on socio-economic & political determinants of infant feeding practices, & the need for govts & society 2 adequately value infant feeding labour. That ‘breastfeeding is not cost free’ was also a welcome message 2 hear @ #ProtectBreastfeeding @TheLancet launch!
