🚨 JUST IN: thousands of people will need to turn to a food bank in Scotland for the very first time this winter. The rising costs of essentials, like food, rent and bills, and a lack of support from our social security system, is pushing people to the brink.

We are proud to support the @BFAWUOfficial and to have put this report together for them But we are dismayed and angered at the findings It is a stain our society that food workers, or any worker, can’t afford life’s essentials let alone ‘luxuries’ like enjoy Xmas to the full

Young people are not shirkers and snowflakes. We should back them. It's an issue of opportunity and inequality. Youth guarantee and apprenticeship changes are a good start, but we need more in future. My piece in @guardianopinion today.
