The Knoles Odyssey of the Mind Team won 1st place in their division at the state tournament and are heading to the World Finals at Michigan State, May 22-26th! These incredible students have been working hard all year writing their script and making costumes, sets, and props.
Congrats to CHS student Joseph Spence - the 2019 Arizona Student Transition Award recipient. Joseph was honored with the award due to his positive, enthusiastic attitude, for his leadership with the Northern Arizona Community of Practice Transition Team and the CHS Job Club.
On Friday, Thomas students had the opportunity to learn from Navajo weaver, Ms. Mae Zee. She brought her loom and other weaving tools to the school to demonstrate her craft and answer questions from the students.

Thomas Elementary School 5th graders had a virtual reality field trip learn about the history of public art. Students were able to virtually visit murals across the city of Chicago and even watch a female mariachi band performance in Tucson! More photos:

Wi-Fi access is now available for students and families outside of FUSD facilities. The use of bus lanes and parking areas in front of the school may be used to access the FUSD-LEARN wireless network for educational resources. All users must comply w social distancing practices.
Friday night was rocking at Flagstaff High School with crosstown rivals FHS and Coconino competing in girls and boys basketball. The Lady Eagles won 56-24 while the Coconino boys took the victory in a close 51-44 final.
Yesterday, Rosemary Roosa visited Killip Elementary for a Moon Tree Dedication Ceremony. Rosemary is the daughter of Astronaut Stuart Roosa who helped start the Moon Tree project by bringing 500 species of seeds with him to space. Read more:
