Astronomers have found the most distant fast radio burst ever seen. The signal traveled 10 billion years from a tiny galaxy in Virgo, likely from an ultra-magnetic dead star called a magnetar. 📸 NASA/JPL-Caltech, Govert Schilling | Source: Sky & Telescope

They’ve seen it all — even Polaris come together. 🦈.Sharks: 400+ million years old. Polaris: Just a baby by comparison. The North Star is actually 3 stars: Polaris A (supergiant), Ab (close companion), and B (the only one old enough to maybe rival sharks at ~2 billion). 📸 NASA
