Today I learned that the Mexican flag 🇲🇽 should always have the coat of arms positioned vertically (ie. the eagle should never be laying down).
So when hanging a Mexican flag, a special flag needs to be made with the charge rotated 90 degrees like this one. 🤯🇲🇽

Canada’s Conservative party likewise pilloried the Maple Leaf flag in the 1960s, & filibustered it in Parliament as a “bloody handkerchief,” “Peru’s flag,” “abandonment of history,” “meaningless rag.” In time the well-crafted design became a successful global icon.
