This is egregious and inexcusable. The disrespect teachers and staff expressing is valid. A new payroll system is no excuse for delay. #phled @PHLschools

Go, Mike!!!
To celebrate KYW Newsradio's 60th anniversary, the @phillies hosted KYW Newsradio Night at Citizens Bank Park! And they asked veteran reporter and dyed-in-the-wool Phils fan Mike DeNardo to throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Proud of @PHLschools and @PHLschoolboard for standing on the right side of history. Philly schools will continue to allow transgender athletes to participate in sports that match their gender identity

The move breaks with PIAA, which passed a policy that sides with an executive order from President Trump.

Thank you for your service, @PHLschoolboard ! No one who hasn’t sat in that exact seat will ever understand how demanding and thankless the role is; can’t even begin to imagine. Thank you for taking on the challenge for the benefit of the young people of Philadelphia. #phled

I read this and keep thinking how @phillyinsider should do a story highlighting horror stories of owning a brick and mortar small business in Philly. I know I’ve got plenty of own to share and know many others that do too
It is not easy to operate a small business in Philadelphia. Currently Sang Kee Peking Duck House is shut down by the city over a mysterious steam issue. Hopefully the Commerce Department has reached out to assist them but if not… The City should help with coordination/urgency

Some of the best humans I’ve ever met. I sleep easy knowing that the @PHLschoolboard is under the leadership of @RLStreaterEsq and now Vice President Sarah-Ashley , making decisions for our young people, including my own kids. Thank you for your service. #phled
Congratulations to Reginald L. Streater on being re-elected to serve a fourth term as Board President, and to Board Member Andrews on being elected as the new Board Vice President! 🎉 #PHLed

Yes! Term limits for ALL elected and appointed positions. 8 of the 10 largest cities in US have term limits- it’s not a radical idea
I think that resign to run is ultimately a misguided concept, but if we are granting this kind of concession to councilmembers’ interests, we also should require term limits. Four terms is a good number.

This should include @PHLschoolboard members too (and maybe it does already, but one thing I always noticed is how much stricter all rules were for board members than any other public service role in city… yet was also the unpaid one)
