My wife, @FiveFootPhotog, catches the ankle injury bug. She suffered the injury last season, but is getting it fixed this morning. She is OUT for next season.

It should be shouted from the rooftops that @sheridan120 and I were championed throughout this project by @megankhenry and @leem386 They could have walked away and never looked back. But they didn’t. They checked in, they sent motivation, and we all celebrated in the end 🥰
There were many challenges in reporting the story, which was @leem386's idea and it sucked he wasn't able to see the story all the way through I was sad to leave The Dispatch before finishing the project Very glad @sheridan120 + @FiveFootPhotog were able to finish the stories!

We faced significant challenges in reporting this story. Sourcing was a challenge. @leem386 got laid off two months into our reporting. @megankhenry was suddenly moved off the beat. @FiveFootPhotog and I shared a lot of tears and late nights. But we got it done. (7/8)

This story is a long time coming and was intimately personal to report. I know multiple people who slept in their cars and couch-surfed in college to make it through. They have degrees now, but not everyone is so fortunate. (6/8)
